About Shaninda Pettes

Shaninda Pettes is a Clinical Professional Counselor Intern dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families as they navigate emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, specializing in Trauma and Crisis, from Walden University.

As a bilingual therapist with a multicultural background, Shaninda is committed to providing culturally responsive care and creating an inclusive environment where all clients feel respected and understood. She strives to create a safe, judgment-free space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported, especially during moments of crisis or emotional overwhelm.

Her approach is client-centered and strengths-based, drawing from evidence-based practices tailored to each individual’s needs. Shaninda works across the lifespan, helping children and families strengthen communication and connection, supporting adults through life transitions, and guiding couples in building healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Shaninda also has experience working with individuals involved in the justice system, including those transitioning out of incarceration. She understands the unique challenges of reintegration and provides supportive, nonjudgmental care that promotes stability, accountability, and personal growth.

She believes meaningful change begins with trust, compassion, and authentic connection. Shaninda is dedicated to providing thoughtful, personalized care that empowers clients to move toward greater emotional well-being and lasting change.
