About Megan Cunico

Megan Cunico is a Clinical Professional Counseling student at the University of Nevada, Reno who is passionate about supporting teens, young adults, and women experiencing anxiety, self-doubt, substance use concerns, unhealthy coping patterns, and major life transitions.

With more than six years of experience working in K–12 schools, Megan understands the emotional pressure that can come from trying to meet expectations while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain internally. She works collaboratively with clients to explore the underlying factors contributing to their struggles, identify triggers, strengthen healthy coping skills, and develop greater confidence and emotional awareness.

Megan also supports individuals who are questioning their relationship with alcohol or drugs, working toward recovery, or concerned about the impact substance use may be having on their relationships, responsibilities, and overall well-being. She provides a compassionate, judgment-free environment where clients can openly explore their experiences and work toward meaningful, sustainable change.

Her approach is client-centered, supportive, and grounded in the belief that every person deserves to feel fully seen, heard, and respected. She values building genuine therapeutic relationships where clients feel safe to explore challenges, celebrate progress, and grow with confidence.

As a mother of two, Megan brings both clinical training and real-life understanding to her work, helping clients feel more empowered, balanced, and connected in their everyday lives.
